I do not know what anything is for. Purpose is meaning.

Whoa.

Today's lesson is huge ... if you take it to heart. "Purpose is meaning." Think about that for a moment.

... I'll wait.

Go on, think about it some more. Purpose is meaning.

... wait for it.

Still with me? Cool. If purpose is meaning, then anything that has any meaning to you has a purpose for you. But what would happen if you chose to remove--or suspend--that purpose? "It" would then be meaningless to you.

Or put another way, "I do not know what anything is for." And so begins, or continues, the unraveling. The unraveling of the illusion of life that you have created for yourself. And your path out of the insane asylum otherwise known as "life on earth." And smack dab into ...

... the Peace of God.

Try it, you'll like it!

I do not know what anything is for.  Purpose is meaning.

A meaningless world engenders fear.

I am going on my third year of doing the Course lessons. Wow, has my perspective on life changed! And I am enormously grateful.

As I read today's lesson, "A meaningless world engenders fear" I was struck by how foreign it is to me to think otherwise ... anymore. Only three years ago this was not the case.

What I've come to realize is that by performing the daily lessons my mind has slowly been changed to the thinking of the Holy Spirit. Specifically, I look upon the world knowing it's an illusion being projected by the One Mind and is not "real life." Or at least if feels like I'm doing this more often than not.

To look upon the world as a projection and then to recall the meaning I used to project onto my projection is to live in peace! The Peace of God.  I realize that the real world is within me, a world that I cannot see with my eyes or touch with my hands. It has been right under my nose the whole time.

I do not understand anything I see

I do not understand anything I see. What a brilliant way to start the new year!

By adopting the thought that I do not understand anything I see I clear my mind for new information. I instantly change my perception and, as you know, a miracle is a shift in perception. Saying to myself that I do not understand anything I see allows me to see my life in a new way.

Again.

This is the third year I have performed the daily lessons of A Course In Miracles. I read them practically every day. Often I'll take the essence of the daily lesson and have it come up as a reminder on my smart phone every two hours throughout my day. It helps keep my mind focused on what matters. Namely that life as my eyes see it is an illusion. A dream. And that the real world is the world I do not see with my eyes but instead is the world within me.

Keeping today's lesson in mind is the perfect method for reprogramming my beliefs in who I am and in what I'm doing "here." Today's lesson points out to me to replace what I thought I knew to a new thought entirely. About everything. Including myself.

I do not understand anything I see.
